Kindergarten Homework
Why do we have homework? In Kindergarten, homework is designed to support the concepts that are being taught in our classroom. It gives parents the opportunity to be involved in their child’s education and to see what we are doing in our classroom.
What you can expect!
Monthly Calendars: Your child will be getting a monthly Calendar. There will be a list of the various “Show and Tell” dates. Please ensure your child brings in an item to share. Show and tell is designed to improve oral language skills and to help students learn how to ask appropriate questions.
Theme Activities: Fun activities that support themes and concepts being taught in our classroom
Home Reading: Home reading will be starting in September. Each school day, your child will be assigned a new story to read at home. Please ensure that the planner is signed so that I know that your child has read. Please note that if a book is lost or damaged, there will be a $5 fee.
